Captain Future 01-52 (Complete)

Today we release the batch for Captain Future. Most notably, we’ve corrected some voyage titles. When we started translation we used the book names as title, but as we progressed we realized this wasn’t going to work and changed approach. We now translated the original titles of all voyages and inserted an extra line for the book title. Also, we changed some names of characters and objects after a new check of the source material and we’ve fixed a styling error on some. A readme file with episode descriptions is included. We hope everyone who already has the series will update and get the batch. The Special is available separately. Both links below. Enjoy!

Captain Future – “The Brilliant Solar System Race”
(Based on the book “Star Trail to Glory”)

Spaceships are mysteriously disappearing leaving the pilots floating in space! Captain Future poses himself as pilot-in-training to investigate these strange incidents. He takes part in the Solar System Race, a Race past every planet in our system, in which spaceship manufacturers can showcase their creations. By performing well with an old Zamor spaceship, Future hopes to attract the attention of the thieves and unmask the villain behind the incidents…

But this water needs to be taken regularly, although prices go up continuously, or else deprivation will cause death. The President of the Interstellar Government assigns Captain Future with the task to find the man responsible, and put an end to this horrible trafficking…

Between Jupiter and Uranus, 22 spaceships have mysteriously vanished. What’s more, there isn’t any wreckage or indication of the ships’ whereabouts. Captain Future and his crew go to Jupiter. They happen to cross the path of Halley’s Comet which appears every 76 years or so. After establishing facts, they try to envision all possible scenario’s when suddenly the ship is being pulled into the comet. Inside, they discover a whole world that keeps them prisonner…

A campaign is launched to find a double of Captain Future, to shoot a movie about his life and his adventures. But the Interplanetary Government suspects the producer of using the movie as an excuse to travel to a planet rich in diamonds. He wants to get a mining license against the will of the inhabitants who refuse any foreign interference. Captain Future joins the film crew and goes undercover as actor to play his own part…

A gigantic dark planet approaches the Solar System and threatens to destroy Earth. To avoid this catastrophe, a certain Professor Zarro proposes to use his technology in service of the Earthlings, in exchange for the position of President of the Solar System. Captain Future and his crew are ordered to investigate this Professor and to retrieve the greatest astronomers of the galaxy who all mysteriously vanished at the time the phenomenon was announced…
