Today we release the batch of Lucy-May of the Southern Rainbow, a joint project of South Wind Subs & The Sorcery Party under the label [south wind-sorcery]. We’d like to thank everyone involved in the creation of the subs. A big thanks goes to our fellow fansubber Perevodildo at The Sorcery Party for doing the JP TLC and adaptation. Names of all individual contributors can be found [here] and in the sub files. Based on the book ‘Southern Rainbow’ by Australian writer Phyllis Piddington, Lucy-May of the Southern Rainbow is a lovely 1982 WMT anime about the adventures of an English family of settlers going to Australia in search of a better life. Main character is of course Lucy-May, the family’s youngest daughter, who is very fond of animals. While the family goes through all kinds of adventures as they’re trying to build a life in the new homeland, Lucy-May discovers all the unknown creatures that live in Australia.
